Songs of the Day - Fashion Blogging

I haven't been on here in months! I can't believe it's December already. I've been meaning to catch up. Forgive me guys. I've been busy with school and signing up for college as well as stress from my parents, my relationships, house renovations, and renovating my wardrobe. The only thing keeping me sane is sleep and music. So I've brought a few songs to the table.

This first one has been on the radio for quite some time and I think it's perfect for the change in weather and the change in seasons. I managed to memorize the lyrics in a few days, which never happens. It's a combination of warm hot chocolate, winter romances, cuddling, and sweaters. I love the warmth of his voice as well as the calming melody. It's very chill and it just makes me want to cuddle next to a fireplace with a cup of tea, a blanket, and a good book.

The Neighborhood - Sweater Weather

This second song I discovered when I was working lights for Fall Show, which is a giant music production ran by the choir at my school. My friend William and his friend Tim sang it and I've been addicted to it ever since. It has a wonderful and catchy melody and is really sing-songy, despite being about a break up.

Hunter Hayes - Everybody's Got Somebody But Me

This third song is rather old but its from one of my favorite girl groups. It's really stuck with me these past few weeks because of all the relationship drama I've been through. The song is pretty mellow and has helped calm me down quite a few times. It is rather bitter sounding but despite the language barrier, you can tell that there was a lot of thought and heartbreak that went into it. It kind of reminds me of some bittersweet reminiscing and a drunken phone call.

Wonder Girls - Girlfriend

My fourth and last song of the day is also a pretty frequented song on the radio. It's also pretty depressing and its all about realizing what you've lost when it leaves. I love the message it sends though because I've been in that type of predicament a lot this past month. I also feel that it holds true to a lot of things. A lot of people take the things and people they have for granted. I don't want to become someone like that and I listen to it to remind myself of who I'm striving to be. I think it's a good reminder. What I'm sharing is a cover. It's a lot softer and slower than the original but I think it fits the message and feel a lot better. Plus, she has an amazing voice. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have.

Passenger - Let Her Go
Cover by Jasmine Thompson

Well I hope you guys liked my song choices. Don't forget to send out suggestions! I love hearing new music and sharing it with others. Stay tuned for my next music post!

Oh! One more thing!

I'm thinking of doing some fashion blogging because of all the clothes I've been buying lately. My style is rather neutral and abstract but I really like some of the things I wear. I think it'd be great to get some feedback to figure out how to turn what basic staples I have into stunning outfits. What do you guys think?

Agacistore Review

You guys have no idea just how excited I am!

About a week or two ago, I was cramming giveaways to get my mom a present for her birthday (which was on the 29th and because I was - and still am - super broke). I entered this YouTube giveaway of this new 19 year old YouTuber, tahjaxo for this shoe giveaway to the website Agacistore. Anyways, long story short, I won a giveaway! I ended up choosing these Olisa 35 Cut Out Nubuck Lace Up Bootie in a nude, size 6.5

The shoes just came in today and my mom loved them so I was really pumped. She asked me to send pictures to her as proof to show her viewers so I decided to post them here as well. Plus they're super cute.

The box it came in - AGACISTORE style

And in it came another box!

The store had a pretty good selection and there were quite a few things I liked. I loved the website and shipping was incredibly fast. I didn't personally order the shoes from the website so I can't say anything about customer service but the prices are pretty decent. They're actually having a sale right now if you guys want to go and check it out.

Tahja basically saved me this week. She's super bubbly, cute, and super sweet! You guys should definitely check out her YouTube Channel, Twitter, and Instagram

Anyways, just thought I would give you guys a run down on my week. So yayyyy! How are your summers going?

Getting Fit

Okay, so I've decided to start exercising. Like, I don't hate my body but it's not really where I'd like it to be. My thighs and hips are kind of big and I don't really have that distinct of a waist. That, and I have absolutely no stamina and my body type doesn't fit the clothes I like to wear. So I decided to change. I mean, who doesn't want to be super healthy, fit, and lean.

Now, do note, I'm exercising to get fit and tone, not to lose weight. Because that's not what I'm about.

I've been switching through quite a few exercises and I mean, it seems to be working really well. I've mainly been focusing on leg exercises since that's the area of my body that I hate the most. I've been doing this one workout that I found on Pinterest. It's pretty quick, it takes no longer than 15-20 minutes which works for me because I don't have a lot of time to really work out.
The first time I did it I literally sat in my bed the next day and couldn't move. But its gotten better and it burns so I'm assuming its working. I usually end up doing it with my sister, Kaitlin, when we're working at the other house.

By trying new diets I mean altering my eating habits by changing the amount of meals I have and the portion sizes. I don't know how that's working but it keeps me less hungry and I feel like I'm eating more. It's supposed to work because it regulates the amount of energy your body intakes and increases your metabolism because your body will constantly be breaking down food. Which is really scientifically sound if you ask me.
Once or twice every morning, we like to make smoothies out of a whole bunch of organic fruits we get from our garden. It's usually the first thing I have in the morning. Surprisingly, it staves off my hunger until my meal (which usually occurs a few hours later).

I was continuing on my quest to look for exercises because, I mean, one workout isn't really going to cut it. I ended up skimming facebook when this "Did You Know" post came up about this Korean mother named Jung Da Yeon. She had two kids and was pretty well, unhealthy to an extent when she decided to get fit and lo and behold, she did.
Jung Da Yeon - Before and After
I'm sure some of her image change comes from plastic surgery but like, man, look at her. She got fit and started her own exercise chain and exercises (called figurobics) and is now famous and wealthy. So I decided to look up on her diet plan.

She said that she went on a strict regime diet, only having small meals, like having six HEALTHY meals a day, and doing figure-robics.

I've always wanted to try like, pilates or yoga and I figured I'd give it a shot. Plus, I like having "other people" exercise with me, even if they're on the screen. So I YouTubed her workout and tried two of them out. All her videos are around 30 minutes so I've been doing them right before I go to sleep so I don't have to worry about my family laughing at me.

The first one I did was 15 minutes of free weight arm workouts and the other 15 minutes were leg workouts. Let me tell you, the first time I tried it, I basically died. I couldn't feel my legs for two days. The next few times however, it was a lot better.

Here's what I deem as the "leg workout."

Don't worry about not being able to understand, just follow what she does.

The second video I tried out was what I deemed as the "waist workout" because I couldn't twist my body for two days because of the soreness. Like, I didn't even think it was possible to become sore in those places, but it happened. This video is about 15 minutes waist/arm workouts and the last 15 minutes are leg workouts mixed with some waist exercises.

The workouts look pretty easy and simple and its really easy to follow along so I'm going to continue trying them. My boyfriend suggested eating protein after workouts as well so I think I'll try that too.

Anyways, just thought I'd share my workout regime with everyone.

Does anyone have any other workout suggestions that don't involve like, any objects or extensive amounts of time? If you do, please comment! I'd really like to hear everyone else's exercising/weight loss/toning tips!

Giant Hershey Bars

A few weeks ago, my mother, my siblings, and I went shopping at Piggly Wiggly for groceries. There just so happened to be a giveaway for a giant Hershey bar so of course, we decided to enter, because I mean, free candy right?

Four days ago, we got a call saying that my 7 year old brother had won the candy bar. We finally went to pick it up today. I didn't really realize it when we entered but the bar is ridiculously huge.

Like, half my brother's height and five pounds of chocolate huge. I looked it up and they're worth like $45-$60 which is pretty crazy when you think about it.

I just thought it'd be really cool to share with you guys because I didn't realize they made chocolate bars this big. I mean, I've heard of giant gummy snakes and gummy bears but never chocolate. Those king size chocolate bars aren't so king size now, now are they?

Song of the Day, Rants, and Apologies

I personally have no problem about people inviting me to things but when I receive like ten emails asking me to join the exact same giveaway that I'm hosting, it gets pretty annoying. As I'm sure, all of you have probably received the same emails from me or from other blogs. With that, I would like to sincerely apologize for them as well as for myself.

I started emailing when I first started my giveaway but it seems like many other bloggers either had the same idea or followed from my example. Either way, I apologize for the spam. I didn't realize there were so many other bloggers that would do the same. It's quite frustrating having to go through them all isn't it?

And then there are the bloggers who post their giveaway under my other blog posts without even referencing to the post in the first place! Boy does it push my buttons >w<  So please, if you're a blogger thinking of doing that under any of my posts, please mind that doing that is not respectful to my blog and its kind of nerve grating.

Anyways, on to my song of the day. Today's song I found while YouTube browsing. What I mean by that is that I was surfing videos when this commercial came up (if you've been YouTube surfing I'm pretty sure you've seen it). I fell in love with it then and there. The piano in the back is quite soothing, the melody just gets stuck in your head, and the music video is kind of cool. This artist's voice is really soothing. The way he enunciates and stresses each part of his song is simply amazing. Each stanza is like a song all on their own. The lyrics are really beautiful. My favorite stanza is probably this one:

"Flying through a bright blue sky
with a space boy high
from the world I leave behind
It's enough to lose my head
disappear and not be seen again."

You can really feel the emotion when he sings it. Not to mention that this entire song is basically themed off of the ocean. Unless you personally know me, you probably didn't know this but I love water or space themed songs. Both are just so ethereal and mysterious. I mean, have you ever wanted to just be able to live in water or in space and just... live? Anyways, this is a wonderful love song and I hope you guys enjoy it.

Song of the Day
Mika - Underwater

If you would like, you can totally rant at the bottom of this post about all those emails you've been getting or you can comment about whether you like this song or comment about song suggestions.

I hope you all have a wonderful day^^

Song of the Day

Well, I'm in Houston right now, furniture shopping. We're having such a difficult time picking colors and everything as the house isn't even done. We really need a home decorator or something. Anybody have any house decorating experience and suggestions to share?

Anyways, on to the song of the day. This song is quite heartfelt and gives me a large feeling of nostalgia. It's a song about being left behind and being unable to forget the memories. The melody makes it really easy to sing along and the vocals are really smooth.

Song of the Day
Sam Tsui - Shadow

Sam Tsui is a wonderful singer and you should most definitely check out some of his other songs and coveres. He collaborates with quite a few popular YouTube artists like Kurt Schneider (you should definitely check out his collab covers - he's a wonderful artist as well) and he's quiet charismatic.

But anyways, did you like the song?

Song and Rant of the Day

I never realized recruiting people for giveaways and blogging was so difficult. My fingers feel like they're about to fall off. I seriously admire all of those bloggers who run giveaways, update often, and have lots of fans. It's really hard!

I'm completely serious! It's like a full time job. But then again, I have a tendency to do things the hard way.

Anyways, my song of the day is *drum roll* YOO SEUNG WOO - HELLO!

It's another kpop song but like the last one, this one is really catchy as well. It's more mellow with it's guitar, bluesy kind of piano in the back and light vocals, but it gets stuck in your head really easily. It's kind of like one of those Sunday morning relaxing kind of jams. Yoo Seung Woo's voice floats and it makes you want to sit down with a good book in the early morning or just laze around. It's absolutely lovely. I suggest you guys take a peek at what he's all about.

Tell what you guys think about him in the comment boxes below~
